An air brush is helpful. The body is carved from two stacked sheet cakes. The legs are piped of frosting. The DVD demonstrates complete instruction on carving and sculpting. Frost the deer with white frosting. Smooth and air brush. You may also frost with brown frosting and highlight with the brown powder coloring included in the kit.
